Kataang Week Day 1 - Rebirth
"Aang what's wrong? Please tell me," Katara inquired helplessly of her husband. Aang had been acting distant and crestfallen lately, and it worried her deeply. This wasn't like him. She didn't have a clue as to what the matter could be. They were happily married, they had an exciting life, and they lived only a few blocks away from their best friends and newlyweds, Toph and Sokka. In her eyes, everything was glorious. The war had ended, peaceful times had begun, and life was serene and blissful. So why was Aang acting this way? His usual fun-loving electrifying attitude had been replaced by despair and sadness. He was deteriorating before her
The whole island looked up to him now, he couldn’t be seen crying. He was the chief. And not just any chief, the descendant of Stoick, the Vast. And like the great chief his father was, Hiccup wouldn’t let people see him cry. He had never been too good at hiding his emotions, but he was learning. The memory of his father helped, the need of delivering as finely as he, did too. But there were times, when he was sure no one was looking, be it flying with Toothless, or smithing at the wee hours, that he let the barrier down. When he cried and felt sad, like he hadn’t felt in years.
His mother and Astrid always made sure he kne

A/N: You guys probably know by now that there's new artwork getting added to the SRU gallery all of the time, right? I've been commissioning a lot of artists to bolster the story's portfolio.
If you're keeping on top of this story, you might want to wait until after you read this chapter so as to not spoil yourself.
Also of interesting note: I took some time to try an amateur sight-reading of this chapter's first scene. You can find that here, if it interests you:

It was awkward.
This familiar space - the smells of caffeinated drink and the sounds of idle chatter...only now there was a wash of calming pop music or something pouring from the speakers, a gentle background to all this. The Jasmine Dragon just didn't feel right in this way, from this place - on a chair at a table and not on that stage.
All the more difficult and confusing was the presence of Aang and Katara in this same location. Why were they here? This was here place. They weren't ever supposed to be here. Why had they agreed to meet here, of all places? And what was g

I'm just not sure what I can be doing to help myself out of this whole situation, but felt that it couldn't hurt to ask.
With that business out of the way, I hope you all enjoy this heavy chapter - I put a lot of myself into it and it's probably

A/N: We're finally here, Chapter 40. Black SRU coffee mugs are officially available, for anyone who is willing to buy one - there have been a number of you who have said you would! It's also looking like I might be able to print physical copies of SRU when all is said and done for those of you dedicated enough to donate to a charitable cause to obtain them. We'll see. I still need to FINISH the story first.

A/N: I'm going to do something different with this chapter. Expect that kind of thing from time to time. ;) It would work better with visuals/audio, but I'm using the written word. So hopefully I can write this in a way you all can follow. I'm not laying out what times things happen at because it'd make this sequence too artificial, but I give you an idea as to when they take place. Enjoy.

So after the theater, dyou want to just walk around the city for a little while? Aang asked her, tying his sash. He let the ends hang loose once hed knotted it and made sure his dark brown tunic was on straight and free of lint.
Katara stood behind him, finishing up with the frogs on her dress. Sounds good. she told him, slightly distracted. She bit her lip, wondering if she should tell him now or after the date. She adjusted her sleeves one more time.
Aang was digging around for his shoes now. Katara took a deep breath, summoning her courage.
Aang? she voiced.

Aang's Dream - Avatar Fan Fiction
It was a dark day indeed. The air smoggy, the people quiet, and unsuspecting. The airships were slowly causing a panic to arise, and then he saw him, the man with the mask. A mask with a blood red circle on the forehead, and a symbol imprinted within the circle 平. This symbol meant peace and equality. However the wearer of this mask, wanted none of these things.
War, and disproportion was what the man was about to create. and soon later the man would bloodbend him, and the man would come towards his disfigured work: his body, or so it seemed. It wasn't his body, no it was the body of a young woman, a water trib
